North Canton Hoover running back Erick Howard is one of three Ohio players named to the Parade All-American football team.

The others are Jordan Hicks from Lakota West near Cincinnati and Latwan Anderson of Cleveland Glenville. Fifty-eight players were named to the team, which will be in the Parade magazine in Sunday's Akron Beacon Journal.

Howard is a two-time winner of Mr. Football in Ohio and the all-time leading rusher in Stark County.

In four years, he finished with 6,013 yards and a county record 79 touchdowns. In 2009, Howard ran for 2,056 yards in 11 games.

Howard is listed as a three-star recruit by Rivals.com. He’s been offered a college scholarship to Akron, Cincinnati, Colorado, Illinois, Kent State and Toledo.
