Hoover's Warren selected for softball showcase event
Erika Warren of North Canton Hoover High School has recently been selected to compete in the Queen of Diamonds Showcase South (QDSS) in Rock Hill, S.C. The event runs from September 4-6 at Winthrop University.
Warren is a sophomore-to-be at Hoover and plays catcher.
The QDSS, now in its fourth season, is the second largest fast pitch softball showcase in the United States and attracts athletes from 33 states and two Canadian provinces. Over 2,000 athletes apply to the QDSS each year and are selected based on many criteria; ranging from ability, potential, academics, graduation year, coaches’ requests and referrals.
