Injuries still hurting Green
Green’s sideline had about seven kids standing in sweat pants Friday night in their loss to Green and that number isn’t getting smaller anytime soon.
Injuries have been wreaking havoc on coach Tom Stacy’s team all season long.
``Just freaky stuff,’’ Stacy said as he explained that a handful of players were unavailable on the first day of two-a-days this summer due to unrelated summer injuries.
Running back Kyle Dannemiller missed half of two-a-days with an unspecified injury. Javon Tate just started playing last week.
He expects six or seven kids to be out this week against Garfield. Dannemiller and Tate are both healthy enough to play now.
``We have had more injures than any year I can remember in coaching,’’ Stacy said.
