Jackson baseball quartet make college selections

Jackson Athletic Secretary  Connie Prazer and coach Bill Gamble announced Tuesday that four senior Polar Bears baseball players have made decisions on their college futures.

- Sam Williams signed a National Letter of Intent with Eastern Kentucky University, a Division I institution which competes in the Ohio Valley Conference. Williams, a left-handed pitcher, is a two-year letterman with a record of 4-0 on the mound in 2013.

- Ryan Gusbar recently signed a National Letter of Intent with Ashland University, which competes in the GLIAC. Gusbar, a left-handed pitcher, is a two-year letterman. He went 3-3 with a 1.91 ERA and was a All-Federal League second-team selection in 2013.

- AJ Kloehn signed a National Letter of Intent with Lafayette College, which competes at the Division I level in the Patriot League. Kloehn is a two-year letterman catcher who was recently named as an Honorable Mention player on the Preseason Perfect Game All-America Team. 

- Tim Turner signed a National Letter of Intent with George Mason University, which competes at the Division I level in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Turner, a left-handed pitcher and outfielder, will be a two-year letter winner for the Polar Bears. He was 1-2 on the mound and finished second on the team in RBI and runs scored in 2013.
