Kent State recruiting in Southwest Ohio
The Kent State football program was in the Cincinnati area this week recruiting Southwest Ohio. Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy football coach Eric Taylor told the Cincinnati Enquirer that Kent State was one of five schools in this week.

Marlington's Higgins reportedly gets South Florida offer
Marlington junior tackle Zach Higgins has reportedly added an offer from South Florida, according to ScoutingOhio.com.
Higgins, who is 6-foot-5 and 295 pounds, also has offers that include Ball State, Ohio, Toledo, Akron, Cincinnati, Miami (Ohio), Bowling Green, Michigan State, West Virginia, Iowa State and Northwestern.

St. Vincent-St. Mary High School seniors DaVonte’ Beard and Ricky Johnson Jr. have committed to continue their basketball and academic careers in college.
Beard is headed to Siena in Loudonville, N.Y. and Johnson is bound for Bethune-Cookman in Dayton Beach, Fla.

Firestone sophomore wide receiver Kevin Gladney is ranked the state’s No. 8 player overall in the 2013 class, according to Bucknuts.com.
Gladney, who is 6-foot-3 and 175 pounds, is one of the premier wide receiver prospects in Ohio . Duane Long of Bucknuts.com writes of Gladney: “The kind of big, physical athletic receiver that goes at the top of the NFL draft.”

Hoban junior defensive end Greg McMullen will reportedly attend the Nebraska spring game April 16, according to Rivals.com.
McMullen, who is one of the state’s top recruits in the 2012 class, has several offers including Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Purdue, Cincinnati, Michigan State and Nebraska, according to Rivals.com.
