By mikeb Published: April 15, 2010

Medina High School recently named Larry Laird as its head football coach.

Laird served as Avon Lake’s associate head coach and offensive coordinator for the past nine years. He helped the Shormen to seven state playoff appearances in the past eight years, including a state runner-up appearance in 2004 and a state championship in 2003.

“Coach Laird brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Medina, and we as a district are looking forward to his leadership with the young men involved with Medina football,” Bees athletic director Jeff Harrison said in a prepared statement.”
