North Canton Hoover seeks swim relay records
North Canton Hoover has two relays entered in the Division I state boys swim meet with top times amongst a field of 24 entries in each event.
Both relays set meet record times last week at Cleveland State University’s Busbey Natatorium, but Vikings coach Matthew Johnsen said the marks just missed school-record times.
Hoover’s 200-yard freestyle relay consistes of junior Stephen Watson, senior Drew Bercaw, senior Robert Tolson and senior Brian Giannetti. The four finished in 1:24.61. The school record is 1:24.57.
Giannetti, Watson, Bercaw and Tolson combined to clock a 3:07.94 for Hoover’s 400 freestyle relay. The school record is 3:07.93.
