Northwest Akron Youth Basketball League seeking players
The Northwest Akron Youth Basketball League is accepting registrations for youth basketball leagues.
Boys and girls are welcome between the ages of 8-13. Co-directors Harry Movsesian and Mike Kormushoff said the final registration date is Thursday (Nov. 8) at the Northwest Family Recreation Center on Shatto Rd. from 6-8 p.m. This year’s fee is $55 per player.
The league was founded in 1976 and received a Letter of Commendation from the Summit County Council this past June. There are two leagues of mixed gender play, Division I (ages 8-10) and Division II (ages 11-13).
Practices start in November, with games to be played from December to February. For more information, call 330-687-3222.
