OHSAA Wrestling: DI live blog
Wadsworth and St. Edwards are still neck and neck after the Quarterfinal and consolation rounds Friday morning. Wadsworth leads with 76 points. St. Edward has 75.5 points. The third place team, Marysville, comes in at 36.
Wadsworth advanced seven of nine wrestlers into tonight’s quarterfinal round with Kagan Squire (119), Louden Gordon (135), Brad Squire (145), Caleb Busson (189), Nick Tavanello (215), Ben Buzzelli (285) and Nate Ball (140) all winning their quarterfinal match ups.
Although, the Grizzlies lost three of their five consolation round wrestlers, which takes away overall points. Alfredo Gray (112) and Sheldon Brandendburg (160) each advanced in consolations.
St. Edward won eight of its nine quarterfinal matchups. They came to Columbus with 11 wrestlers. Three wrestlers have been eliminated in the consolation round.
