Revere, Walsh, WRA boast No. 1 soccer teams
Soccer teams from Revere, Walsh Jesuit and Western Reserve Academy finished the regular season No. 1 in the final state coaches poll.
Coach Sandor Jakab guided the Revere (15-0-1) boys to the No. 1 spot in the Division II poll, ahead of two-time defending state champion Dayton Carroll (12-0-4).
Walsh Jesuit (14-0-2) finished No. 1 in the Division II girls poll under coach Dino McIntyre.
Coach Herb Haller led the Western Reserve Academy (14-0-2) boys to the No. 1 distinction in Division III.
Archbishop Hoban (12-1-2) and Bellbrook (16-0-0) are tied for third in the Division II boys poll, and Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (9-6-0) is eighth.
Twinsburg (13-0-3) is ranked third in the Division I boys poll, just behind No. 1 Cleveland St. Ignatius (13-0-3) and No. 2 Olentangy Liberty (15-1-0).
On the girls side, Western Reserve Academy (14-1-1) is third in the Division III poll and Medina (9-5-2) is ninth in Division I. Perrysburg (16-0-0) is No. 1 in Division I and Middletown Bishop Fenwick (12-1-3) is No. 1 in Division III.
