Varsity Letters
Six from Wadsworth sign for college athletics
Wadsworth Athletic Director Rich Berlin announced six Grizzlies seniors signed national letters of intent on Wednesday at the high school library.
Paige Szabat and Mike Pavlak will continue their athletic careers on the Division I level. Szabat is headed to West Virginia University to compete on the Mountaineers track and field and cross country teams. Pavlak committed to swim for the men’s team at Cleveland State University.
The other four are Kara Long (Shawnee State University, women’s basketball), Jessica Gearhart (Walsh University, women’s soccer), Molly Priest (Ohio Dominican University, women’s track and field and cross country) and Ashley May (Wheeling Jesuit University, softball).
