St. V-M duo Campbell, Booker receive scholarship offers
St. Vincent- St. Mary football coach Dan Boarman said several of his players from the Division II state championship team continue to get recruited by colleges.
Junior running back Parris Campbell Jr. has been offered a scholarship by Ohio State University. He is also garnering interest from Indiana, Penn State, Akron, Cincinnati and Northwestern.
“It is Ohio State, you are obviously going to be impressed by [coach] Urban Meyer and the whole place,” Boarman said.
Boarman said Campbell and junior linebacker Dante Booker remain “very open” and are “taking it day-by-day” in terms of mulling over their options.
Booker holds scholarship offers from Ohio State, Michigan, Oklahoma, Penn State, Illinois, Indiana, Nebraska and Notre Dame. Auburn, Georgia Tech and Wisconsin are among several other schools interested in Booker.
St. V-M junior Newman Williams is also receiving interest from colleges along with several seniors, including Jordan Hargrove, Fransohn Bickley and Clayton Uecker
