St. V-M's Dambrot pledges to High Point for soccer
St. Vincent-St. Mary senior Robby Dambrot has given an oral commitment to continue his academic and soccer careers at High Point University in North Carolina.
Dambrot, who is playing this season with the International Academy based in Medina at the Pinnacle Sports Complex, said the Panthers recruited him to play an attacking midfielder position.
“It is a great opportunity,” Dambrot said. “They are an upcoming program with some good young players and a good coaching staff. They have a nice campus too. It should be fun.”
Dambrot is 6-foot and 150 pounds. He was also recruited by Wright State, Virginia Commonwealth, Valparaiso, Colgate and Pittsburgh.
