State track and field
Here are some more highlights from the Division II state track and field meet at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus:
BOYS
Crestwood senior Matt Nichols won the state title in the 3,200 with a time of 9:13.15.
Crestwood senior Alan Vanderink finished second in the 100 (11.00) and the 200 (21.86).
Buchtel junior Terence Somerville finished second in the 110 hurdles (14.45).
Woodridge senior Scott Hilditch took second in the 1,600 (4:11.28). His teammate Brian Himelright, a junior, took fourth in the same event with a 4:17.83.
Orrville took second in the 1,600 relay. Senior Peter Paraskos, junior Brandon Black, sophomore Michael Craig and freshman Dillon Corbett combined to finish in 3:19.34.
Walsh Jesuit junior Chris Barton took third in the 100 (11.09).
Streetsboro sophomore Cory Lanterman took third in the 400 (48.87).
St. Vincent-St. Mary senior David Hickey took fourth in the 300 hurdles (38.86).
