Stow's Ian Holt is a Division I state golf co-champion

COLUMBUS: Stow sophomore Ian Holt earned a share of the Division I state boys golf individual title Saturday on the Scarlet Course at The Ohio State University Golf Club.
Holt and Cleveland St. Ignatius senior Beau Titsworth both finished with two-round scores of 8-over-par 150 to be co-medalists in the 86th annual boys tournament.
The OHSAA does not stage a playoff.
Holt carded a 77 Saturday after posting a 73 Friday. Titsworth shot a 72 Saturday and a 78 Friday.
Jackson finished second in the 19th annual girls tournament with a team score of 641 strokes on the Gray Course at OSU. Highland was third at 642.
Sophomore Cassie Pantelas paced the Polar Bears with a total score of 153. Pantelas and Highland junior Jessica Porvasnik tied for sixth.
North Canton Hoover junior MacKenzie DiPietro finished ninth in the girls tournament with a 155.
Geneva freshman Danielle Nicholson fired a 3-over-par-143 to win the Division I girls golf individual title.
Dublin Jerome won the boys and girls team titles. The boys finished with 623 strokes and the girls posted a 627.
Centerville (626), Upper Arlington (629), Dublin Coffman and St. Ignatius (637) rounded out the top five boys teams.
The Medina boys were sixth at 644. Stow (649) and Walsh Jesuit (654) were eighth and ninth, respectively.
Cincinnati schools Ursuline Academy (651) and Sycamore (654) were fourth and fifth in the girls team standings.
