STVM senior Andy Farrell signs with Trine for baseball

By Michael Beaven Published: April 29, 2013

St. Vincent-St. Mary senior Andy Farrell has signed a national letter of intent to continue his academic and baseball careers with Trine University, a Division III school and a member of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association.

Farrell is set to earn his fourth varsity letter this spring with St. V-M as a pitcher. He has compiled a 2.74 ERA for the Fighting Irish.

“I have been blessed with the opportunity to coach Andy on the varsity level as a member of our pitching staff for four years,” St. V-M coach Anthony Boarman said. “Andy has played a huge role in the transition of this program with his selflessness, dedication, and work ethic the past four years. On and off the field, Andy deserves everything that he has earned up to this point. Andy will be pursuing a career in Mechanical Engineering and I have no doubt that he will be successful because he has always put his academics first and understands the importance of getting the job done in the classroom.”
