Thanksgiving Day football rosters announced

FOOTBALL -- THANKSGIVING DAY ALL-STAR GAME

The Summit County Thanksgiving Day All-Star Football Game will debut at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. Here are the rosters, according to game organizers Jacob Thompson, Mike Murphy Jr. and Jay Brophy Jr.:

WEST TEAM

Note:
The state football playoffs began in 1972, which during some years affected the matchups for this game because City Series teams that qualified for the playoffs would not participate in the game. For example, Buchtel did not play in the Turkey Day Game in 1987 and 1988 because it was in the state football playoffs. The Griffins won state titles during each of those seasons.
