It would be easy to dismiss Firestone's 51-6 loss to highly touted Twinsburg as a case of bad team taking on an outstanding one.
Tigers coach Mark Solis saw far more in the Falcons than fans might expect.
"Believe me, "I've played some bad teams over the years. This is not a bad team at all," Solis said. "Their coach Tim Flossie has credentials that speak for themselves. They are a young team with some real good athletes.
"They had trouble with our speed."
A headache that will be a problem for future opponents, too.
Adding to defensive problem for Tigers' future opponents is Andrew Collier. The senior quarterback has strengthed the aerial attack, as evidence by hitting 11-of-14 passes for 149 yards and four touchdowns. His top receiver was Joe Hiller (two catches for 64 yards and a touchdown. Collier complete passes to seven different receivers.
