Copley's Aregeros Turner decommits from Cincinnati
Copley senior running back Aregeros Turner has reportedly decommitted from the University of Cincinnati, according to Rivals.com.
Turner originally made an oral commitment to the Bearcats in October, choosing Cincinnati over Purdue and Illinois among other offers.

Massillon's Kyle Kempt decommits from Cincinnati
Massillon senior QB Kyle Kempt has reportedly decommitted from the University of Cincinnati, according to multiple reports including Scout.com and ScoutingOhio.com.
"I have decommitted from Cinci," Kempt tweeted tonight.

Firestone's Mark Belanger signs to swim at Ohio State
Firestone High School senior Mark Belanger has signed with Ohio State University to continue his academic and swimming careers on scholarship.
“I’m excited to swim in college,” Belanger said. “I’m looking forward to swimming faster and I’m excited that I get to keep doing the sport I love.”

Canton McKinley High School quarterback Eric Glover-Williams is just a sophomore, but he is already on the radar of big college football programs.
The Canton Repository reported that Glover-Williams has scholarship offers from Ohio State, Nebraska and Illinois.

Massillon's Gareon Conley changes mind, commits to Ohio State
The Massillon Independent reported that Massillon senior football player Gareon Conley has reconsidered his oral commitment to the University of Michigan, and has pledged to play for rival Ohio State on scholarship.
Massillon coach Jason Hall confirmed Conley was in Columbus on Friday to finish up his official visit to the school and gave coach Urban Meyer a commitment.

Hoban senior tight end Jimmy Martter has reportedly made a commitment to play football at Harvard, according to ScoutingOhio.com.
Martter, who is 6 feet 3 and 236 pounds, also had an offer from Yale.

Triway spearheading effort for separate state tournaments
There appears to be another competitive balance vote for high school athletics coming in the near future.
Triway Local School District Superintendent David W. Rice said Monday that he and other superintendents in Wayne County have collected around 110 signatures from high school principals in the state of Ohio to submit to the Ohio High School Athletic Association and Commissioner Daniel B. Ross for a vote.

St. V-M is Division III state football champion
CANTON: St. Vincent-St. Mary is the top high school football team in Ohio in Division III in 2012.
St. V-M defeated Bellevue 42-21 Saturday at Fawcett Stadium in Canton to win the Division III state championship before a crowd of 9,109.

Norton senior Matt McGlone enjoyed his return to the basketball court..
McGlone joined his Panthers teammates Friday night at Waterloo to open the boys basketball season after a brain aneurysm sidelined him for most of the football season.

Short-handed Irish basketball team
The St. Vincent-St. Mary boys basketball team will open its season against University High School of Normal, Ill. at 11 a.m. Saturday at the University of Illinois-Chicago a little short-handed.
The Fighting Irish football team, which features several athletes who also play basketball, will meet Bellevue at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Division III state championship game at Fawcett Stadium in Canton.

The Wadsworth girls basketball team won their opener this past Saturday 84-33 over Manchester. Firestone defeated Wadsworth 76-72 in the opening boys basketball game Friday night
