Walsh Jesuit's Brown earns national baseball honor
Walsh Jesuit coach Chris Kaczmar said junior Cassidy Brown has been named as a part of MaxPreps Top 50 Class of 2013 high school baseball players, presented by New Balance.
Brown, a 6-foot-3 and 200-pound catcher and right-handed pitcher, is ranked No. 31 in the country in the junior class, according to MaxPreps.com.
Brown had a .406 batting average with four home runs and 31 RBI last season. He also compiled a 3-0 record on the mound with a 1.26 ERA for a 20-3 Warriors team.
Warriors senior pitcher Michael Marsinek, an Eastern Michigan recruit, was named a Collegiate Baseball/Louisville Slugger Pre-Season All American Honorable Mention and an Ohio ESPN Player to Watch.
Seniors Anthony Nemer, Drew Miletti (Ohio Weslyan) and Graeme Frye (Slippery Rock) were tabbed as Ohio Players to Watch by Collegiate Baseball/Louisville Slugger.
