Varsity Letters
Walsh's Pugliese is Columbia bound
Walsh Jesuit senior Vinny Pugliese has made an oral commitment to continue his academic and football careers at Columbia University.
Pugliese, a 6-foot-2 and 210-pound linebacker-fullback, was a senior captain. He earned three letters and was a two-year starter for the Warriors.
Pugliese earned the 2010 Army Ironman of the Year, which is sponsored by the U.S. Army, Cleveland Recruiting Battalion. He won the weekly award and then was selected at the end of the season.
