Westlake defeats Perry 6-2 in Division I baseball state semifinal
COLUMBUS: The Perry baseball team’s dream season of 2012 came to a conclusion Thursday at Huntington Park in a Division I state semifinal game.
Westlake defeated Perry 6-2 to advance to the Division I state championship game at 1 p.m. Saturday.
The Demons (24-6) scored a run apiece in the third and fifth innings, and scored two runs in both the fourth and sixth innings.
The Panthers (21-11) scored two runs in the fourth inning.
This is the furthest the Perry baseball team has made it in the postseason after winning sectional, district and regional championships.
