Zips offer sophomore guard
The University of Akron has offered Cincinnati Aiken sophomore guard Austin Grimes. It is the first offer for Grimes.
Grimes, who is 6-3 and 200 pounds, is second in the Cincinnati Metro Athletic Conference in points. His season-high was 26 points on Dec. 17. He has scored in double figures in eight of nine games.
He is the second Aiken player to receive an offer from the Zips this school year. Junior guard William Moore was offered in September.
