Akron SCORE offers workshops for new and existing businesses

Akron SCORE, the free mentoring program for new and existing businesses, will offer workshops this month in Akron and Hudson.

The workshops are designed to provide practical advice to help new businesses get started and existing businesses improve their operations and profitability.

SCORE-certified counselors will present the information. SCORE is a non-profit Small Business Administration-affiliated organization.

Four workshops will be at the Taylor Institute for Direct Marketing in the University of Akron’s Polsky Hall, 225 S. Main St. in downtown Akron:

March 14, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Fundamentals of Financial Management.
March 21, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Results Selling.
Mar. 28, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Thinking About Building a Website?

A two-session workshop will be offered at the Hudson Library & Historical Society, 96 Library St. in Hudson:

Mar. 29, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. QuickBooks 1.
March 30, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. QuickBooks 2.
