Citizens Bank online transactions delayed this morning; issue now resolved

Citizens Bank Vice President of Media Relations Lauren DiGeronimo confirms that all issues were resolved as of 10:47 a.m. DiGeronimo said no fees will be incurred by customers, due to the issue. The mobile app is also now working.

Citizens Bank customers woke this morning to find out there was a delay in transactions posted to their accounts  - including payroll  - because of a vendor issue. The issue appears to have been fixed by about 10:30 a.m. this morning.

The bank took to Twitter and Facebook to alert its customers: "Due to a vendor processing issue affecting multiple financial institutions, customers are seeing a delay in transactions posting to their accounts. We appreciate the patience of our customers as we work with our vendor to resolve this issue."

It is unknown what other financial insitutions may have also had delays with their vendors. Customers with Fifth Third, Chase and Huntington are not reporting any issues at this time.

As of 10:37 a.m., the Citizens' mobile app still appears to be down at this time, but the bank's regular website is working.
