The Greater Akron Chamber will hold its fifth annual economic forecast next Tuesday at the Sheraton Suites, 1989 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls.
There will be a five-person panel discussing the outlook for the regional economy in 2008.
John G. Morikis, president and chief operating officer of Cleveland's Sherwin-Williams Co., will represent manufacturing. He is responsible for all operating segments of the paint company, which includes the Paint Stores Group, the Consumer Group and the Global Group.
Representing transportation will be Kevin Healy, who joined AirTran Airways in April 1999. As vice president of planning and sales, he oversees route strategy, scheduling, pricing, revenue, customer relations, reservations and distribution.
William Sinn, president of Sinn & Co. LLC, will talk about China trade issues. Sinn helps small- to midsize U.S. companies sell in China as a consultant.
John C. Green, director of the Ray Bliss Institute of Applied Politics at the University of Akron, will discuss politics.
Eric Mansfield, who anchors Akron/Canton News on Time Warner Cable Channel 23 and contributes to WKYC (Channel 3), will represent the media.
