The BBB says: ''A company's size, volume of business, and number of transactions may have some bearing on the number of complaints received by the BBB.''
The BBB also says the number of complaints received might not be as important as the types of complaints and how the company has addressed them.
The BBB generally does not pass judgment on the validity of complaints filed.
Akron BBB President and CEO Victor J. Wlaszyn advised consumers that before doing business with any new company, they should check the Akron BBB reliability reports by calling 330-253-4590, or by visiting the Akron BBB online at www.akronbbb.org.
