Shane Good
An animal keeper at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, Good is the first person to be president of both the American Association of Zookeepers and the International Congress of Zookeepers. She was appointed president of the American Association of Zookeepers in September and has been president and founding member of the International Congress of Zookeepers since 2005. Combined, the two professional organizations serve thousands of animal keepers around the world.

Lee Plakas
The managing partner of Tzangas, Plakas, Mannos & Raies was named an Ohio Super Lawyer for 2008, the fifth consecutive year he has been named.
John L. Wheaton
The chief executive of Wheaton & Sprague Engineering, a structural engineering firm in Cuyahoga Falls, received the first USGlass CEO of the Year Award in the small company category. This award highlights Wheaton's expertise and national renown in the building envelope, or curtainwall industry.

James Adams, MPH, was named health commissioner by the Canton Board of Health. He replaces Robert Pattison, who retired after 28 years.

The wedding and portrait group originating from Orlando, Fla., opened a second Ohio studio at 6170 Pearl Road, Parma Heights. In addition to wedding and portrait services, Alexander will custom-design private wedding images into a personalized album, restore old photographs and re-create aging wedding albums, family vacation photos or important heirlooms.
