Republic unveils new steel division

Republic Engineered Products Inc. has forged a new steel division.

The Fairlawn steel maker on Wednesday announced the creation of its Cold-Finished Bar Products Division.

Michael Eberth, who has extensive previous history with Republic, was named the division's general manager. Eberth rejoined Republic last month from Outokumpu Stainless Bar.

Cold-finished steel bar is used in steel distribution, automotive, off-highway and aircraft industries.

Republic's cold-finished bar steel is made in Massillon; Hamilton, Ont., and Gary, Ind. Those three facilities now make up the new division.

Republic Engineered Products Inc. has forged a new steel division.
