Acme Fresh Market of Akron announced these promotions and additions: Lisa Anderson was named Acme brands sales representative by Daymon Worldwide Associates. She is responsible for the marketing, merchandising, and promotional planning of Acme brand health and beauty products. Jim Carmany was named director of general merchandise operations, responsible for the products and sales that fall under the general merchandise and healthy and beauty care categories and seasonal items. Marc D'Antonio was named director of catering and corporate chef, responsible for overseeing all operations of Acme Fresh Market Catering; Jim Pearl was named store director of Acme No. 6 in Norton, responsible for all store operations; and Tracy Perri was named manager of category support, responsible for managing the work flow and productivity for the grocery and general merchandise clerical staff and ensuring data integrity.
Fifth Third Bank
Louise J. Gissendaner was appointed Akron city president. She will represent Fifth Third in community relations, and will continue in her role as director of community development of the Northeastern Ohio affiliate.
Summa Health System
Laura Bomgardner was appointed director of service excellence. She is responsible for the leadership, facilitation and coordination of service excellence and patient satisfaction initiatives throughout the organization.

Joseph Lucilio was appointed national service director for the service arm of the wide-format imaging solutions enterprise in North Canton.
Teknor Apex
Andy Claytor was promoted to director of sales, TPE Division, responsible for the management of direct sales and distribution channels for North America. He will continue to work out of his home office in Uniontown.
Americhem Inc.
Clay Wedan was promoted to vice president international and will also join the Cuyahoga Falls company's executive committee. He will lead the international team from the company's Shanghai office and will have responsibility for all regions outside of North America, including Americhem's Europe and Asia-Pacific operations.

Michael Owens was promoted to president/CEO. He joined the company in 1991 and had been executive vice president. Cheryl Foster was promoted to executive vice president.

William J. Zabkar joined the law firm as an attorney with more than 20 years experience in the area of real estate law.

U.S. Chemical & Plastics, a division of Alco Industries, promoted Tom Perry to company president. He had been vice president, sales and marketing, and is replacing Wade Bowman.

The stock holding company, parent of Wayne Savings Community Bank, appointed Steven G. Dimos executive vice president and chief operations officer. His experience includes 16 years in the banking industry in various capacities.

Mark Coulis was hired as senior consultant for the Stow company's Building Envelope Consulting market segment under its Building Envelope Division.
