Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. of Findlay announced the opening of a technical center in China.
The dollar value of the project was not disclosed but Cooper said more than 50 engineers, chemists and technicians will work in the town of Zhudi in the Min Hang district.
Cooper said it will support existing centers in North America and Europe while working with customers in the Shanghai region.
The Chinese facility will have a test-wheel center, tire forensics lab and a vehicle lift, among other amenities. It joins Cooper's 67 facilities worldwide.
