The Akron SCORE chapter is on pace to set a record for number of clients, counselors and workshops this year.
''Everywhere I look, I see growth for the chapter,'' President Gary Sutherland reported in its latest newsletter.
SCORE — retired business executives who coach small business owners — has recorded 1,271 client services in the first six months of the year. A total of 2,032 were recorded for all of last year.
There have been 21 workshops and 68 counselors volunteering in the past six months, outpacing last year's 12-month total of 31 workshops and 65 counselors.
The Akron SCORE chapter is on pace to set a record for number of clients, counselors and workshops this year.
