The Akron SCORE chapter is on pace to set a record for number of clients, counselors and workshops this year.
''Everywhere I look, I see growth for the chapter,'' President Gary Sutherland reported in its latest newsletter.
SCORE retired business executives who coach small business owners has recorded 1,271 client services in the first six months of the year. A total of 2,032 were recorded for all of last year.
There have been 21 workshops and 68 counselors volunteering in the past six months, outpacing last year's 12-month total of 31 workshops and 65 counselors.
The Akron SCORE chapter is on pace to set a record for number of clients, counselors and workshops this year.
