The Akron-based accounting and business consulting firm was recognized as a NorthCoast 99 award recipient for the fourth year in a row as one of the 99 best places to work in Northeast Ohio for top talent. The award is presented by the Employers Resource Council.
Fallsway Equipment Co.
The company became a dealer for FASSI hydraulic, articulated cranes. FASSI calls itself one of the top three crane manufacturers in the world.
LearningRx Center
At the 2008 national convention, the Akron/Bath LearningRx Center received the Community Impact Award, presented to centers that serve the highest number of students, and the Customer Service Award, based on satisfaction with LearningRx experiences.

Andy Haag
Andy Haag received the Distinguished Service Award from the Wilderness Center in Wilmot. The award is given annually in recognition of a volunteer who has made a significant long-term contribution to the success of the center, which services five Ohio counties.
Brian Miner
The Greater Akron Chamber named Brian Miner, of Cuyahoga Falls, a recipient of the 2008 ''30 for the Future'' award. The award honors young professionals ages 25-29 whose contributions positively affect their industries and communities in the greater Akron area.
Bert P. Harper
The Evans Insurance Agency presented the 2008 Evans Agency Exemplary Claim Service Award to Bert P. Harper. This award was presented in recognition of claims service performed 30 years ago.
Frances Mastroine
The Greater Stark County Area Dealers Association named Frances Mastroine of Kempthorn Motors the winner of the ''2008 Woman of the Year'' award.
Teresa Barry
The chief executive officer of Meals on Wheels of Stark & Wayne Counties began her term as chairman of the Meals on Wheels Association of America at the association's national conference. She will serve in the position for two years.

The Mogadore resident received the certified medical assistant designation from the certifying board of the American Association of Medical Assistants. She is a graduate of the medical assisting program at Stark State College.
