The University of Akron will host a forum on corrosion and aging infrastructure from 8 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the Martin University Center.
Speakers will include U.S. Rep Betty Sutton and representatives from NACE International, the World Corrosion Organization, the U.S. Department of Defense, CC Technologies, Siva Corrosion Services Inc., Corrpro Cos. Inc. and RPM International Inc.
The university is developing the first bachelor of science degree in corrosion engineering.
The event is not open to the public.
