One National City executive on PNC leadership team

PNC Financial Services Group, the Pittsburgh bank buying National City Corp., named a 12-member leadership team that includes one current executive from National City.

Phil Rice, a National City executive vice president who oversees commercial banking, will lead the combined company's western markets, including Cleveland, according to a letter to employees released by PNC. The other 11 executives work for PNC. The 12 managers will report to PNC Chief Executive Officer James Rohr.

The combined bank will rank fifth in the U.S.
