New cell sites for Verizon users

Verizon Wireless has activated two new cell sites in Medina County, enabling more customers to make cell calls while doing other things like texting, e-mailing, accessing the Internet or downloading music, while improving reception and decreasing dropped calls.

The new cell site near the intersection of state routes 94 and 18 improves coverage along 94 between county roads 21 and 60; and along 18 between Dunsha and Beach roads.

The new tower in Homerville near U.S. 224 and state Route 301 improves coverage along 301 between County Road 82 and Williams Road, and along 224 between River Corners and Camp roads.
