Business moves — April 6


Kevin Lawlor was named president of the employee-owned professional construction services and general contracting company. Lawlor replaces Robert S. Strickland, who retired after 13 years as president of the Cleveland-headquartered company. Lawlor has been with the company for 22 years, the last 11 as executive vice president.

RPM International

Joe Toula was hired as assistant controller, responsible for managing the closing/reporting process while working in partnership with operating company financial management, outside auditors and RPM’s internal team. Angela Vannucci was hired as manager of corporate development, responsible for supporting RPM’s acquisition program.

Kent State University

AnnMarie LeBlanc was named interim dean of Kent State University’s College of Communication and Information, starting July 1. She currently serves as director of Kent State’s School of Visual Communication Design, one of the four schools in the College of Communication and Information. She succeeds Stan Wearden, Ph.D., who will retire on June 30 after 30 years of service.

Community Health Center

Greg Johnson, M.D., was named medical director at Community Health Center in Akron, and was certified as a medical review officer from the American Association of Medical Review Officers Inc. He manages Community Health Center’s Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) program.

Kent Adhesive Products Co.

Dan Bartlett, national accounts manager of Converted Products, announced his retirement. He joined the company in June 1986, and helped the growth of Kapco’s Converted Products unit.

The Ruhlin Co.

Bob Lane, surveyor, and Fred Beaver, computer and office administrator, IT, announced their retirements. Lane joined the company in 1977 as a survey crew party chief and has held various positions. Beaver joined the company in 1987 performing data entry and expanded his role to include IT coordinator duties.
