Business moves — March 2

YMCA of Canton

The YMCA of Canton Board of Directors named Kelly Blandford Bah as chief executive officer. Bah, a Canton native who comes to the nonprofit after leading Sustainable Sandhills, an environmentally focused community development organization, will begin the job Wednesday.

Buehler’s Fresh Foods

Deb Wilcox was named Buehler’s director of communications. She is responsible for community, government and consumer relations, decor and branding of Buehler’s stores, business to business programs and company history.


Mike Wallace was named managing director of the Cleveland consulting firm. He is responsible for expanding market presence and brand in North America.

Acme Fresh Market

Laura Darrow was promoted to director of human resources. She will provide leadership on all functions, including orientation, training and recognition of 1,629 full-time equivalent employees. Also, Mike Harget was promoted to store director of the newly remodeled State Road Acme Fresh Market.

ACU-Serve Corp.

Jim Knight, co-founder, is the new chief executive officer, a role he shared with co-founders Angie Barone and Tim Barone, who have decided to pursue other opportunities. Joining him in leading ACU-Serve is new business partner Tom Meadows and Cindy Hoyt, chief operating officer. Additional new staff joining the ACU-Serve team include: Stephanie Greene, who will lead the auditing and consulting division. She will counsel clients in billing audits and appeals, as well as other issues related to compliance; Samantha Haynam and Yvette Nugent are new account managers.
