Vocon

The architecture and interior design firm with offices in Cleveland and New York announced the acquisition of New York-based Conant Architects. Vocon said Conant’s team has more than 60 years’ experience combined and expands depth of design expertise and geographic reach. Vocon said the move will affect its offerings in architecture, interior design, branding, graphic design, workplace strategy and change its communications in advertising, public relations, retail, consumer products, professional services, legal and municipal sectors.

LeafFilter Gutter Protection

The Hudson-based company was ranked No. 18 on the 2013 Qualified Remodeler Magazine Top 500 ranking list. The Top 500 ranking is the home building industry’s top recognition program.

BCG Systems Inc.

The technology solutions provider headquartered in Akron was selected by Accounting Today to what is called its VAR 100 list for 2013. The top value-added resellers (VARs) on the list have niche-focused services and software, and in some cases a new product line.

Snap Fitness, a chain of 24/7 health clubs, will open in the Portage Lakes Shopping Center on Sept. 9. Snap Fitness offers access via electronic key card entry, along with cardio and weight-training equipment.
