FirstEnergy buys Browns Stadium naming rights

Construction on the Cleveland Browns Stadium continues in April 1999, in anticipation for the inaugural season, with just 18 weeks to go before Cleveland returns to the NFL with an exhibition game. Construction on the city's new stadium is 80 percent complete, the mayor's office said.
