Gas prices still coming down

Associated Press

COLUMBUS: Ohio gas prices are continuing to head south this winter.

The average price for a gallon of regular gas in the Buckeye State was $3.35 in Monday’s survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express. That’s 2 cents lower than a week ago, and down 7 cents from this time last month.

But the Ohio average is still about 4 cents higher than the same week in 2011.

Nationally, the average cost was about $3.34 per gallon on Monday. That’s about a nickel higher than the national average at this time last year. However, most experts say prices should continue to drop at a steady pace for the remainder of the year.
