Akron, Ohio—Bob LeFever recently celebrated his one-year anniversary as General Manager of Portage Country Club (PCC).“The board of directors and our members are very pleased with the progress we’ve made under Bob’s first year,” said Jim DeVoe, President of Portage’s Board of Directors. “He’s made a real difference.”
LeFever also successfully negotiated the dissolution of his role in the popular Cuyahoga Falls restaurant that bares his name. Although LeFever is no longer involved in the restaurant in any way, it will continue to operate under the same name.
“I’m very excited about this past year and the direction everything has gone,” said LeFever. “I feel this move was an excellent decision for everyone involved. I wish nothing but the best of luck to all parties involved and the continued success of both establishments.”
One of Akron’s best known restaurateurs, LeFever is very familiar with the Akron area and has developed a close tie with his customers and the community. He had previously spent time at both Portage and Fairlawn Country Clubs prior to his involvement with LeFever’s.
Portage Country Club was established in 1894 and offers the finest facilities and service to their members. Portage Country Club features an 18-hole golf course among other club amenities such as tennis, swimming and dining facilities.
