Tickets will be $25 per adult ticket and $15 per student ticket. There will be fantastic raffle baskets along with a few select valuable silent auction items; such as Indians tickets and a foursome of golf at Firestone Country Club. At 2:00pm the fashion show will begin. This will include outfits sponsored by the Montrose JC Penny and local designers from Kent University.
Reservations are required by May 30, 2008 and can be made by contacting Elisa Leonard at (330)670-9922, or through email at eleonar1@ashland.edu, or by visiting our website @ www.standupwithstyle.com. Checks will be required to guarantee your ticket reservation.
Stand Up With Style is a nonprofit organization that was founded and run by teens in this community. It was founded and is chaired by Elisa Leonard along with vital members including Mary Forchione, Molly Leonard, Chelsea Shew, and Courtney Chlebina. It was founded because these students decided they wanted to make a difference. The first event held last year raised proceeds of well over 5,000 dollars all of which was donated to the victims of the genocide in Sudan. This year Stand Up With Style members turn their attention to a cause closer to home, the Ronald McDonald House of Akron Children’s Hospital. This charity was chosen because of the inspiration and difference they make in our community. The Ronald McDonald House provides long term care for families in need, and provides a home environment during turbulent times. The Ronald McDonald House has 271 houses in 30 different regions and countries which have provided unconditional care to over 10 million people in the last 30 years. Stand Up With Style members are looking forward to supporting and making a difference in our community through this event.
