AKRON, Ohio (June 2, 2008) - Pediatric & Adolescent Care, Inc., a pediatric primary care practice with offices in Hudson and Solon, will be part of Akron Children’s Hospital Physician Associates (CHPA) effective June 1.The practice’s four pediatricians and one nurse practitioner will continue to care for infants, children and teens in Hudson and Solon.
They are Elliot Herscher, M.D., David Hornick, M.D., Michelle McMillan, M.D., Jeffrey McRaven, M.D., and Joan Paskert, CPNP.
Pediatric & Adolescent Care, Inc’s offices are located at 5778 Darrow Road in Hudson and 33001 Solon Road, Suite 206, in Solon.
CHPA is a growing network of 16 pediatric primary care offices, owned and operated by Akron Children’s Hospital and located in seven Northeast Ohio counties. The Solon office is the first CHPA office in Cuyahoga County.
“We are thrilled to have this outstanding team of pediatricians join the CHPA network,” said Les Sherman, vice president of practice management for Akron Children’s. “These doctors have excellent reputations and now they, their patients and families will benefit from a close association with the dozens of board-certified pediatric specialists at Akron Children’s main campus in downtown Akron, as well as its convenient off-site locations.”
There should be no interruption of services during the transition. Weekend and evening hours will still be offered, and, as a new benefit, parents will have access to Children’s After Hours, a toll-free phone line staffed by experienced pediatric nurses who can offer urgent care advice whenever the offices are closed.

Akron Children’s offers pediatric care at more than 40 locations throughout the region. In addition, more than 100 advocacy, education, outreach and research programs are provided to children and their families. Akron Children’s Hospital has earned the Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission and Magnet Recognition Status from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
