33rd Annual Music in the Valley Folk Festival at Hale Farm & Village

UPublish story by WRHS

This year, Hale Farm & Village celebrates its 50th Anniversary as the premier outdoor, living history museum in Northeast Ohio. On Saturday, July 12 and Sunday, July 13, the farm and Wheatfield Village will come alive with the sound of sweet music floating in the breeze.

Music in the Valley, spotlights the acoustic music played in intimate jam sessions by local musicians of all ages. The historic grounds of Hale Farm & Village will ring with the sounds of guitar, banjo, fiddle and hammered dulcimer. This event is presented in partnership with Folknet, the Northeast Ohio Folk & Traditional Music & Dance Society, and the Kulas Foundation.

Visitors are invited to come and dance and sing their cares away in the backdrop of the Cuyahoga Valley. Guests can also tour Hale Farm & Village to discover a variety of characters from the 19th century; meet our wildest residents; view the gardens, including the new garden created in partnership with Great Lakes Brewing Company, and much more! The 50th Anniversary of Hale Farm & Village is sponsored by the Akron Beacon Journal, The Sisler McFawn Foundation, The Billow Company, Barnes & Noble Fairlawn, The Akron Community Foundation, and WKSU.

Hale Farm & Village is located at 2686 Oak Hill Road in Bath, OH. The museum opens to the public officially on Saturday, June 7 through Labor Day. Hours of Operation at Hale Farm are 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., Wed – Sat. and 12 – 5 p.m. on Sundays. Admission is $14.50 for adults, $12.50 for Seniors, and $7.50 for Children and Students.
