Program Invented to Track Kids Health and MD Visits

UPublish story by Blitz Public Relations

HomeTreeTech will help parents of children and adults who are chronically ill keep track of doctor's visit, medications, and health related symptoms, thanks to a new computer program especially helpful to parents and doctors. The company was founded in 2005 by two married couples from the area who have more than 70 years of combined healthcare experience. They created a new computer program that will forever change how patients interact with their doctors. The company released their new software to help others keep their health and medical issues organized, and in one place. Their first software release, called The Residential Maintenance Program, keeps track of all home maintenance, repairs, and costs in one easy computer program. Likewise, MyMedTracks, their second software release, is a valuable resource that helps users organize all health records and medical information.

“As we have grown over the last four years we have found that there is a huge need for better communication and organization within in personal health records," said Heather Freemont, part owner in the company.

MyMedTracks is a software program that is a valuable resource to
help organize health and medical information. According to Marnie McGuire, also part owner, "We have created an easy to use program, and it is a great tool to those who help care for an older loved one such as a parent or grandparent. We know that that this can help so many people in many ways. We feel very strongly that as individuals we should share in the responsibility of keeping track of our health/medical information. By organizing this information, we can be the best advocates for our own medical care, whether in a hospital or at the physicians office for an appointment,” she said.

A personal health record or PHR is typically a health record that is initiated and maintained by an individual. An ideal PHR would provide a complete and accurate summary of the health and medical history of an individual. PHRs can contain a diverse range of data but usually include information about:allergies and adverse drug reactions, medications (including dose and how often taken) including over the counter medications and herbal remedies, illnesses and hospitalizations, surgeries and other procedures, vaccinations,
laboratory test results, and family history.
