Mogadore UMC Turns 175 years old

UPublish story by mogadoreumc

Parishioners at Mogadore United Methodist Church will celebrate the church's 175th Anniversary during the 10:30 a.m. Worship Service on September 21st.

The church, at 3828 Mogadore Road in Mogadore, was established in 1833. The current building sits on the same location as the original church. Mr. & Mrs. Jacob Warner held the original meetings in their barn and the schoolhouse before taking out a subscription to fund the first building. The current building’s cornerstone was laid in 1921.

In celebration of this glorious event, the church held a special service and presented certificates to 23 current members to show their appreciation of their 50 or more years of active service to the Mogadore United Methodist Church. We will continue to grow as the generations pass and we will continue to do the work we are called to do.
