The Matthew 25 Coalition is the recipient of a $500.00 grant from Westfield Insurance's Volunteer Grant Program. Mike Landis, Westfield Insurance employee and a volunteer with the Matthew 25 Coalition for the past 2 years, was awarded the grant based on his volunteer commitment to the organization.Mike Landis has contributed countless hours while creating and coordinating the successful Matthew 25 Coalition 5k Run fundraiser for the past two years. The Matthew 25 Coalition has been in existence since 2003 and is currently coalition of 19 churches and other partnering agencies which work together to help those who are in need in our community. Last year, Matthew 25 helped 345unduplicated people with emergency needs. Over $17,000 and 1,300 hours were dedicated to helping those families become more self-sufficient, maintain housing as well as promote personal growth.
Anyone with a need in Southwest Medina County may contact the Matthew 25 Coalition at 330-948-1222 ext. 39271, a phone line provided by Lodi Community Hospital. The Coalition assists with rent, utilities, prescriptions, and gasoline.
Westfield Insurance Foundation's Volunteer Grant Program was designed to connect to communities through employee volunteer action. Employees of Westfield Insurance can apply annually.
