Step Right Up - Donut and Hot Dog Eatery

UPublish story by steprightup

Owner August Lococo, a 1975 Hudson High School graduate, decided to come back to his roots and open a family eatery in Hudson in November 2008.

He wanted to create a Fast, Fresh and Affordable place for families to enjoy.

They serve (15) Varieties of Donuts made fresh daily. They have Sahlen's Hot Dogs made specifically to be charcoal grilled over a hot
fire. They also grill hamburgers, chicken and sausage. They have french fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings and an array of fresh condiments that include chili, cheese and sauerkraut.

Lococo based the restaurant on an amusement park theme with a mural and memorabilia from Geauga Lake. Old signage and pictures from the old Geauga Lake days hang on the walls. Most guests who come in the restaurant have an old memory to share with Lococo. Lococo's father, Gasper, was one of the owners of Geauga Lake before it was sold to Six Flags.

When Gasper Lococo retired he wrote his memoirs in a book titled

"Step Right Up", thus came the name of the restaurant.

Locate at 5929 Darrow Rd., Hudson - north of Barlow Rd. -330-650-0250.
