September 13, 2007 Mansfield, OHSpecial visit ministry is presenting a Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit at the Ashland University Convocation Center.
A well-rounded Exhibit of ancient Biblical materials will be hosted at Ashland University this month.
This world class Exhibit contains hundreds of rare ancient artifacts and will include items from Ashland University’s Collection, Special Visit Ministry’s Exhibit and private loans from around the country.
The Exhibit is free and open to the public September 26 -30 from 10 am to 8 pm daily
Unlike others touring the USA, this traveling museum will provide a multitude of seminars on the various artifacts showing how they relate to Christian faith today.
It would take trips to a dozen museums around the world to view the number of quality artifacts that will be displayed at the Convocation Center. This is a once in a life time opportunity to visit our Christian History.
Some firsts for a museum:
1) Visitors will be able to get close to the artifacts and;
2) At times handle selected pieces;
3) Photographs and video taping of seminars is permitted;
4) Infra-red cameras will be used to illuminate 2,000 year old details onto a video screen, showing details not visible with natural light;
This is a rare, up-close opportunity to experience Dead Sea Scrolls Material, Ancient Bibles, Cuneiform Tablets, Illuminated Manuscripts, Cuzco Paintings, Inquisition Documents and many other important pieces of Christian history.
Hundreds of artifacts, some dating from 2100 BC.
